I never saw the 1980 movie Fame, but the TV series a couple of years later was a favorite of mine. I was a band geek, and a drama queen, and a school of the performing arts was full of my kind of people.
I'd seen that a remake was coming out, and it didn't intrigue me at first, but I must have onle seen the cast members that play the students. Today I saw that the faculty in this movie include Kelsey Grammer, BeBe Neuwirth, Megan Mulally, Charles Dutton and Debbie Allen. VERY cool.
In anticipation of the upcoming Harry Potter movie, I have been re-reading all of the Harry Potter books. The first two went quickly, just a day to read each. Last night I went to bed shortly after Lucius Malfoy tossed Dobby here a sock and inadvertantly gave him his freedom. Today I am working on The Prisoner of Azkhaban, and I am surprised by just how much I am enjoying these books a second time.
Thanksgiving is here! How the heck did that happen?!? Our plans are pretty low-key. I am cooking at my father-in-law's house with my sister-in-law for nine people. I think we'll have enough food for about 20! LOL
She's making ham, since half the group doesn't do turkey. I have a honey brined turkey breast from Wegman's. I am most excited that my Mom is coming and bringing my two all-time favorite desserts that she makes: her apple pie and chocolate pudding cake. Better wear the elastic waistband tomorrow!
How well do you know your Thanksgiving movies? Come by LM and try my QUIZ and see!
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! And best of luck to those shopping tomorrow!
We are Stephen Sondheim junkies around here, and can't wait for this film! It releases on Barry's birthday. I told him to take the day off and I would take him.
